    Approximately 7 months ago my wife purchased a used 2013 KIA optima which we believed was safety checked. Last night she was traveling on I-91 when her rear driver side tire exploded causing her to serve off the highway. Thankfully Kimberly did not get injured but some minor damage was done to the vehicle. We towed the vehicle to a local Town Fair tire to have it repaired and on inspection we found that the rim had been welded and was not holding the proper amount of air.
